About Us

  • Meet Jordanna   Trauma is a relative condition. Events or situations that trigger anxiety, depression, and other mental and emotional signs of trauma vary greatly between patients. At Trauma Recovery Services of Arizona, board-certified counselor Jordanna Saunders LPC helps the communities of Goodyear, Arizona, process their traumatic thoughts and memories and learn to cope with the challenges that life presents. Jordanna has over two decades of clinical experience providing counseling services in a variety of settings, including mental health clinics, hospitals, jails, and residential facilities. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Arizona in Tucson before completing her master of counseling degree at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. She’s a member of several professional organizations including the American Counseling Association and the EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association). Patients at Trauma Recovery Services of Arizona benefit from Jordanna’s extensive training and experience in delivering EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Both EMDR and CBT enable patients to explore their thoughts, memories, and emotions in a safe space. They learn to resolve their feelings and adjust their behavioral responses to people, places, or objects that remind them of their trauma. In addition to helping patients learn to cope with past trauma, Jordanna also helps patients with mental health conditions including depression and anxiety as well as navigating common challenges including divorce, loss of a loved one, career transition, and more. Appointments are available by calling Trauma Recovery Services of Arizona or booking online.
