About Us

  • Dave Campos has returned to the Santa Barbara restaurant business after twelve years. In 2012 and early 2013, as a contractor and building owner, Dave began to remodel the beautiful Spanish building at 532 State Street. His objective is to provide Santa Barbara community members and visitors with a quality dining experience with Southwest cuisine. Our award winning Chef, Jim Gartman’s, awards include the 2004 and 2005 Iron Chef of Arizona team with Chef Scott Tompkins, 5 silver medals in the Hot Food Competition with the American Culinary Federation, 4 Bronze in the same competition, and 1st Place in Dessert competition in New Mexico. Southwest cuisine is a fusion of Spanish, Native American and Mexican ingredients and techniques. Often referred to as Southwest or New Mexican cuisine, it has its own distinct preparation, ingredients and flavor with the Hatch green or red pepper.
