  • Dr. Michael Kerby: Dr. Kerby is the President of Village Eye Care, Inc. He grew up in central Texas where he achieved his bachelor's degree from Texas A & M University. He received his Doctorate of Optometry degree in 1996 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During his training, he performed an externship at the Commonwealth Eye Center in Lexington, KY. Dr. Kerby provides primary eye care services for the whole family and has a special interest in the role of nutrition in maintaining eye health. Dr. Kerby also performs contact lens fittings of standard contact lenses as well as specialty contact lenses which correct astigmatism (toric and rigid gas permeable) and presbyopia (bifocal contact lenses). Dr. Kerby practices corneal reshaping and in May 2003 became certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT). Dr. Melissa Kerby: Dr. Melissa Kerby serves as Optometric Coordinator for Village Eye Care, Inc. She grew up in Hillsboro, Ohio and performed her undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and Wilmington College. She received her doctorate of Optometry degree in 1996 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During her training, she performed an externship at The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Her duties were to provide optometric services to midshipmen, enlistees, and Officers of the Navy. Dr. Kerby provides primary eye care services to all members of the family. She also performs contact lens fittings for standard contact lenses as well as specialty contact lenses to correct astigmatism and presbyopia. She has a special interest in corneal reshaping, otherwise known as orthokeratology. She is listed on the ortho-k network and in May 2003 became certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT).
