About Us

  • The Whiteaker Tattoo Collective opened their doors for business at 245 Van Buren St Eugene OR 97402. This is the first tattoo shop in this neighborhood in many years, and promises to bring a new level of artistic talent to an area already burgeoning with small business, locally sourced talent and entrepreneurial flavor.
Home to the Whiteaker, a collective cross promoting neighborhood which houses fabulous local brew/tasting room...get a tattoo & a token to visit the Ninkasi tasting room with a free drink...also, stop down the alley to the Blair Alley Arcade with your tattoo token to get free plays..

Suzen’s unique ability to reach across cultures, demographics, and occupations makes her stand out amongst a crowd of local artists. She is able to put you at ease and create and bring to life something that is uniquely yours. So much so, that at the age of forty, I went to her for my very first tattoo! Suzen Tanton has 22 years’ experience in the Industry with 12 of those years as a tattoo artist. She is currently licensed in the state of Oregon and the state of Michigan with BBP & CPR certification.
Suzen’s partner, Erich Schwartzwald has 3 years’ experience as a tattoo artist. He is currently licensed in the state of Oregon with BBP & CPR certification. Schwartzwald has 20 years’ experience in the Graphic and Fine Arts Industry.
Inside the purple building using recycled and upcycled materials, the styling’s include corrugated metal, deep mahogany and burnished red, earth tones, with oak and mahogany wood . This calming atmosphere is enhanced with local artists portfolio on the wall, as well a big screen tv to watch while in the waiting room. Piped in surround sound plays mellow eclectic beats and each room in the style of the inhabiting artist.
The tattoo area of the shop brings a feeling of a European alley with unique store fronts which are actually individual tattoo shops…the artists call this ‘tattoo alley’... each shop facade donned with its own lantern and blade sign proudly hanging with a caption of the artist working in the room --names like “one Armed Wanda’s Tattoo Emporium” or “Swirly Shirely’s Ink Inn” giving a feeling of artistic humor, intrigue and creativity in this space. as you approach the end of the [indoor] ‘alley’ you come upon a photo booth under an arched bridge that ties the whole scene together… enter into these rooms and glimpse the individual creativity of each artist.
