After receiving his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003, he completed his Anesthesia residency and Pain Medicine fellowship in 2008 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and maintains Board Certification in both specialties. During almost 10 years of private practice, Dr. Kinard has served on the Board of Directors for the Southern Pain Society and is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He is a regionally known speaker and has been called by the Mississippi Board of Medical Licensure for purposes of expert witness testimony in the field of Pain Medicine. Dr. Kinard’s practice at Willow utilizes a comprehensive, multimodal approach to the management of a multitude of acute and chronic painful conditions, including procedural, medical, psychotherapeutic, and rehabilitative efforts. Dr. Kinard will focus his general approach toward achieving his treatment goals (pain relief, improved physical function, enhanced quality of life), while minimizing the role of medications which can result in chemical dependency and addiction.
