• Bucks & Jakes Outfitters was founded in 2005 after the acquisition of Ashley’s Outdoor Connection. We founded Bucks & Jakes Outfitters with one simple goal in mind - serving the tri-state's outdoorsmen and women. Locally, as fellow outdoor adventure seekers, we struggled to find the products or service up to the caliber and standards we felt was deserved in our community. Hunting and fishing are a way of life in the tri-state area and no one knows better than our founders and staff of the importance of quality products and service. We try to provide our customers great products at reasonable prices, with an emphasis on superior customer service. At Bucks & Jakes, we offer only the highest quality products from major brands and local vendors. We try to keep in mind the products we offer our customers are more important than the name on the package. Since our inception in 2005, the store has grown nearly 5 times its original size after moving to our new location on highway 62 between Evansville and Boonville. This included adding a 10 lane, 100 ft by 40 ft indoor archery range and walk-in cold storage for our customers to store their query. Being locally owned and operated gives Bucks & Jakes the great privilege and opportunity to give back to the community, supporting groups such as the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP), Archery Camps USA, and Archery Across North America, just to name a few. We currently have 15 employees on staff, including 2 full time archery technicians, 2 part time archery technicians, and 3 firearms specialists.
