• Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology? I chose gastroenterology due to personal interest in the field, as well as gastroenterology’s unique blend of wide-ranging pathology and numerous procedures. I am committed to bringing excellence, compassion and professionalism to the care of my patients. Do you have a specialty of interest within GI? I am passionate about treating a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions and performing endoscopic procedures. I am skilled in general endoscopy such as esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy, as well as advanced therapeutic endoscopy such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). Where did you study? Undergrad: Duke University, Medical School: Emory University School of Medicine, Residency: Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University, Fellowship in Gastroenterology: University of California, Interventional Endoscopy Fellowship: Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. What certifications do you hold? Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
