Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology? I enjoy helping people with digestive and liver health issues, which range from minor to serious problems. Spending time with and getting to know patients is very rewarding. Do you have a specialty of interest within GI? Colon Cancer Prevention, Gastroesophageal Reflux, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Pancreatic and Biliary Disorders. Where did you study? Undergrad: Texas A&M University, Medical School: The University of Texas Health Science Center, Internship Residency and Fellowship: Scott & White Hospital. What certifications do you hold? Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time? Playing with my three children, outdoor activities and fishing.
