About Us

  • Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology? I chose gastroenterology because I found the subject matter fascinating. I found that I can evaluate a problem then formulate a diagnosis by directly visualizing the underlying disease via endoscopy. I then could formulate a therapy and confirm efficacy. This directly impacts patient care. Do you have a specialty of interest within GI? I don’t have a specific interest, as I enjoy treating all aspects of gastroenterology. Where did you study? Medical School: University of Illinois, Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship: Loyola University. What certifications do you hold? Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Do you fluently speak any other languages in addition to English? Spanish. Please list your professional affiliations. American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, Texas Medical Society and Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
