I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and after high school I left my beautiful island and attended Oberlin College in Ohio on an academic scholarship. After graduation I spent 4 years working at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine for the Department of Hematology and Oncology performing cancer and bone marrow transplant research.
