Ahn, M.D., in a pediatric neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic’s Rochester, Minnesota campus and part of the Mayo Clinic Children’s Center. His clinical focus is on the surgical treatment of craniosynostosis, specializing in endoscopic treatment in order to minimize surgery for both syndromic and non-syndromic types of craniosynostosis. He also specializes in fetal anomalies such as Moyamoya disease, arteriovenous malformations, Chiari malformations and hydrocephalus. Dr. Ahn, teaming with maternal fetal medicine, offers fetal repair of spina bifida through minimally invasive methods, including fetascopic procedures. Dr. Ahn performs endoscopic third ventriculostomy and endoscope-assisted surgery for complex hydrocephalus. He also specializes in the surgical treatment of arachnoid cysts, spina bifida, spinal cord disease, tethered spinal cord, and brain tumors. Dr. Ahn is a member of the Mayo Clinic Children’s Center pediatric brain tumor program and actively involved in the research and education regarding pediatric neurosurgical conditions.
