About Us

  • Steven D. Eggleston, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who welcomes patients of all ages at his practice, Eggleston Orthopedics, in Lake Jackson, Texas. Dr. Eggleston has always taken a personalized approach to his medical practice, truly listening to each patient and dedicating time to answer their questions. Dr. Eggleston treats the full range of orthopedic problems, while also specializing in sports medicine and helping patients with arthritis. He always begins treatment with conservative options, but when surgery is needed, patients can rely on his expertise to treat even the most complex cases. He’s skilled in both open and minimally invasive procedures. In addition to performing many successfully arthroscopic surgeries, Dr. Eggleston is the only doctor in the area currently performing endoscopic surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. As a native of Brazoria County, Dr. Eggleston graduated from Sweeny High School in 1987. He received a degree in physical therapy from the University of Texas-Southwestern and gained valuable experience in the field for several years before entering medical school. He subsequently graduated with High Honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston. Dr. Eggleston completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and a surgery internship at UTMB, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the recipient of multiple honors and awards. He’s a Fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and maintains active membership in the Texas Orthopedic Association and the Texas Medical Association. Prior to November 2010, Dr. Eggleston’s practice was located in Angleton, Texas. Now he lives here in Lake Jackson, where he and his wife and son enjoy being a part of the community.
