• Hamrick’s is a family owned and operated business that started over 70 years ago. In 1945, Oliver and Edna Hamrick purchased a small grocery and general merchandise store. As the business and the family grew the Hamrick’s began buying and selling closeout fabric to area mills. Today, the Hamrick’s family continues to follow their parent’s dream. Brothers Kelly, Barry, Mike and Jim along with Ann and Dinah all continue the success that their parents started. Even some of the grandchildren and great grandchildren are working to continue the family name. Barry Hamrick, president of Hamrick’s Inc. says “my parents saw a need and filled it as far as selection, quality, price and a pleasant environment to shop in. Our goal is to continue that vision every day.” Currently, Hamrick’s operates 20 store locations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia. Most stores range in size of over 40,000 square feet. The Corporate office is located in Gaffney, SC along with the Distribution center and Wholesale center. Also located in Gaffney is the “old Hamrick’s store” that Mrs. Hamrick ran for many, many years. Today it is a popular clearance center. Hamrick’s stores offer today’s hottest brands at deeply discounted prices. Ladies’ and Men’s apparel, shoes and accessories, kid’s, and a large home and gift area make it the perfect shopping experience for everyone in the family. They also design several private labels: Nikki, Southern Lady, Links, N Touch and Seven Forty Two. Oliver and Edna’s dream continues to grow, expand and succeed. Hamrick’s buyers visit New York, Las Vegas and Atlanta to find the items and prices our customers want. Our Design/Manufacturing staff design and create new looks for our private label and our retail store locations work hard to satisfy our many customers. The Hamrick’s family that started small now has no limits and the future is bright.
