• About Us In the fall of 2009, Jim Boldt returned to his roots. His insurance career began in 1984 as an agency owner for COUNTRY Financial in Fulton, Illinois. Over the years, Jim had the opportunity to work at the corporate level for COUNTRY and other insurers in training, agency management, and special markets. But he missed helping people protect their assets and learning through regular contact what really matters to them. He also had the urge to be a business owner again and build an agency from the group up. Jim found that opportunity to open an Allstate agency, Jim Boldt & Associates, in Shawnee, Kansas in 2009. It was also at that time that Jim returned to his adopted hometown of Kansas City. After spending a few years in Des Moines, Iowa, Jim knew this chapter of his career had to happen in the Kansas City area. After all, this is where his wife, Kathleen, is from, and where he can stay in closer contact with his children and grandchildren. Family means everything to Jim. Through his agency, he started a new family that now includes his staff of four insurance professionals and extends to many customers. “I’m proud to be an Allstate agent. At my agency, we focus on helping customers select the coverage that best meets their needs. And I get the privilege of doing that every day while also working with a fantastic group of friendly, honest people of all ages and life experiences who love Kansas City and its people as much as I do.” Jim is certified through the American College of Financial Services as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®). He recently served as president and board member of the Society of Financial Planning Professionals (SFSP®) of Kansas City, and he’s a board member for Thumper’s Haven, a local women’s shelter. Jim’s interests include being a doting grandfather, taking his wife to dinner at one of the area’s restaurants, watching college football, completing home improvement projects, and reading books on history and biographies of U.S presidents.
