Dr. Whitney is a board-certified dermatologist through the American Board of Dermatology. She is on staff at Allegheny General Hospital and sees patients at AHN Cranberry and Fox Chapel. Dr. Whitney graduated with honors from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She obtained her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Whitney then went on to complete her internship at UPMC-Mercy Hospital, followed by a dermatology residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan, affiliated with Michigan State University. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She has authored numerous publications and her work has been presented at several scientific meetings across the country. Her clinical interests include general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, hair disorders, skin cancer and skin of color. She also has an interest in cosmetic dermatology and received extensive training in Botox, fillers and chemical peels.
