  • About Dr. Neeraj Kaushik   Dr. Neeraj Kaushik is the founder of LI Gastroenterology Endoscopy PC a premier gastroenterology practice in Long Island, NY. He is also the Director of Gastroenterology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn NY, ranked by U.S. News and World Report as a top program in Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery. Dr. Kaushik has been recognized for his professional achievements and dedication to the field of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. He has been awarded Fellowship by the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). He is a member of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (NYSGE). His state of the art office in Long Island, NY offers a completely new Endoscopy Unit with the latest equipment for performing office based endoscopy and colonoscopy in a safe and convenient setting. At St. Francis Hospital he leads a dynamic endoscopy unit and has an expertise in performing advanced endoscopic procedures such as: Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) Endoscopic Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Removal of Large Polyps Drainage of Pancreatic Pseudocysts Ablation of Barrett’s Esophagus Endoscopic Treatment and Palliation of Gastrointestinal Cancers Esophageal and Intestinal Stent Placement Closure of Fistulas   Endoscopic Suturing   Spyglass Cholangioscopy for Evaluation and Treatment of Large and Complex Bile duct Stones and Strictures Debridement of Pancreatic Necrosis   Dilation and Endoscopic Treatment of Strictures Removal of Ampullary Polyps (Ampullectomy) Dr. Kaushik is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. From 2006-2010 he was the Director of Endoscopy and EUS at North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) in Manhasset, NY. He completed his Gastroenterology fellowship including training in advanced endoscopy at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a Top 10 GI Program. He was selected as the Chief GI Fellow at this prestigious fellowship and served in this position from 2003 to 2005. After completing his GI fellowship he served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the GI division at UPMC from 2005 to 2006. Over the last twelve years Dr. Kaushik has developed a busy clinical practice in Long Island focusing on general and therapeutic endoscopy. He has trained several fellows in general and advanced endoscopy. He is an active member of the multidisciplinary tumor board at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Kaushik has authored or co-authored more than 25 articles in peer review journals. He has presented his research at local and national meetings and has been invited as a speaker at medical, surgical and oncologic grand rounds at many local hospitals and has been an invited faculty at local and regional GI conferences.  Dr. Kaushik loves to play tennis, spend time with his family and volunteer for the Art of Living Foundation and International Association of Human Values.
