About Us

• Bob McLain started working on bikes during a high school work study program in the 9th grade at the only bike shop in Traverse City. He continued there through high school and took classes in college that he felt necessary to start his own business and opened McLains to bring his knowledge and passion to the under-served cycling public. The rest, says McLain, is history.
