I have been taking care of people in Seattle and King County for the past 16 years, and have come to understand the impact of unresolved trauma on one's overall mental health and well-being. Often times old trauma can manifest in the form of depression, anxiety, rumination, irritability, insomnia, and substance use disorders. This can then lead to over prescription of medications to blunt symptoms. My clinical practice employs techniques such as motivational interviewing, and EMDR to uncover and
