  • About Us Kent Smalley, MD, a board-certified neurologist at Neurowellness Clinic in Edmond, Oklahoma, has been a featured speaker at over 100 conferences. He’s a recognized expert in the management of Alzheimer’s disease, neurodegenerative disease, addiction, opioid dependence, chronic pain, seizure disorders, migraine, and neuropathy. Dr. Smalley studied premedical sciences at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, then graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After relocating to San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Smalley finished his neurology residency at the University of Texas Medical School. During his training, he was honored to be the chief resident of neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Dr. Smalley has extensive experience in the field of neurology and addiction treatment, including time spent working at the Stillwater Neuroscience Clinic, Edmond Headache and Pain Clinic, the Cardiology Clinic of Muskogee, and currently at Neurowellness Clinic. As the primary investigator in nine clinical trials, Dr. Smalley has devoted considerable time to research in the fields of migraine, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. Additionally, he has participated in well over 30 clinical trials exploring treatments and diagnostic procedures for patients with conditions such as opioid use disorder, dementia, depression, chronic pain, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Smalley is well-known as a speaker who has delivered seminars on chronic pain and mindfulness-based stress reduction. He’s widely renowned in the fields of neurology and addiction, and respected by his patients for the time and personalized attention he devotes to each person.
