About Us

  • Welcome to NIAA’s brand new high school campus, fondly referred to as “Gibbins”. Located in North Arlington on Gibbins Road, our college-prep academy is home to hundreds of remarkable students in grades 9th through 12th. Our gifted teachers are beyond highly qualified; they teach with love and nurture, extracting gifts from our students that will enable them to successfully pursue higher education upon graduation. It is my joy to be the leader of this exceptional community. We are a family here at Gibbins…from our fabulous faculty and staff to our incredible families who make up our constituency, we share a unique culture based on four foundational aspects: our excellent academics, consistent discipline, intentional character training, and parent partnerships. Together, we are raising Warriors of wisdom, stature, and favor, who will make their positive mark on our country and world. Our students thrive in our strong and disciplined academic program that also involves weekly enrichment in art, music, physical education, foreign language, and technology. Students 9th through 12th grade are prepared for their future in college, career, and military preparatory classes and clubs. One of the most distinctive aspects of our Newman culture is our weekly, all-school assembly, named after the place where Warriors historically gather: “POWWOW”! This is actually an acronym which stands for Preparing Outstanding Warriors with Wisdom to Overcome and Win! We strive to do exactly that, so that each of our students is truly ready for the joys and challenges that await them after they graduate. We love our students, and we want each of them to enjoy happy, productive lives! Our desire is that our Warriors perpetuate the gifts and talents honed at Newman to the next generation and beyond!
