  • Project Release of Colorado of Aurora, CO, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals successfully re-enter their community after incarceration. They apply transformative justice to encourage personal growth and self-advocacy for inmates throughout the state. This non-profit offers innovative programs for inmates that involve structured, group-based curriculum targeted at realistic topics for transitioning back into society. Inmates in a participating prison facility can request to be referred by their DOC case manager to begin the next re-entry pre-release program. In addition to educating inmates, Project Release of Colorado promotes better conditions of incarceration and advocates for rehabilitation-focused policies.
